Wedding Makeup BrisbaneWedding Makeup Brisbane – I absolutely love doing wedding and bridal makeup!

I’m a mobile makeup artist in Brisbane who will take the stress out of your big day by coming directly to you. Just relax and let me make you feel like a princess for the most important day of your life. I realise how important your wedding day is and it’s my job to make sure that you enjoy the experience and have a great time getting ready for your wedding.

I have 10 years experience as a Brisbane makeup artist and trained at the acclaimed Napoleon Perdis Makeup Academy. My job allows me to meet amazing people and create a beautiful look just for them. I feel so happy when I see my work bring a smile to a bride’s face. I have a passion for wedding makeup throughout Brisbane.
I recently did wedding makeup for the gorgeous Julie and her handsome husband Brendan.

The pre-wedding make up trial is important to ensure that you are absolutely happy with what your make up will look like on your wedding day. If you have some ideas or photos then please show them to me and we can discuss the look your after. Wedding makeup should be able to stay looking fresh all day without being too heavy. Your style might be classical or more towards a contemporary look. Of course, the wedding dress, headdress or veil, hairstyle and time of wedding (day or evening) should be taken into account.

The makeup trial is just that. It’s a trial to make absolutely certain that you are happy with the look and colours chosen. It’s also a good idea to have your makeup trial well in advance of your wedding day and preferably close to the same weather conditions if possible. If your wedding is based around a theme and certain colours then you might want your makeup to reflect that.

In my experience makeup for the bride is usually best when it is soft and feminine, however the style and colours do need to be more intense than for everyday makeup due to the effects of lighting. In wedding photographs the face can looked drained of colour leaving you looking washed out if the right toned foundation isn’t used.  The use of glitter or shimmer may show up as a ” flare” on the finished photograph so that’s something to take into consideration.

Wedding makeup is very special. It has to last the whole day no matter what the weather is like. It needs to look amazing for the photos which will be around for a very long time. Most importantly, wedding makeup has to make you feel absolutely beautiful. There’s nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable especially on such an important and memorable day such as your wedding.

Your wedding day should also be about having fun with your family and bridesmaids. I can also do the bridesmaid’s makeup as well as the mother of the bride and do offer a discount for groups. The trial can actually be a lot of fun especially if you have your bridesmaids there.

I hope you’ll see me to discuss any ideas you have regarding your wedding makeup Brisbane.

Below are a few of the beautiful brides.

Don’t forget that if you’re having your making professionally done then it’s probably because it’s a special occasion. This means photos. Above all it’s important to trust your Brisbane makeup artist to really listen to what you want. You have to be absolutely happy with the finished result. A makeup artist is exactly that, an artist, but working with the medium of makeup. For people to admire the work of any makeup artist is the ultimate compliment.

Genevieve invites you to take a look at the makeup services she offers and feel free to browse through her page about makeup products she prefers and why.
